About Us

National Service Scheme is a Community Services rendering to offer opportunities to the students in college and college to enhance personality developing skills through community services. Considering the benefits of students and the community, the institutions at BIHER have organized and supported several programs like the adoption of villages for intensive development work, mass tree plantation, technology transfer programs, technologies for rural development, and various other programs.

The NSS volunteer for the community service programs and have comprehensive exposure and experience. It helps them accomplish some of the most desired traits like an accomplished social leader, an efficient administrator, and evolve as a person concerning the humanitarian world.

The University aims to promote various adventurous activities among NSS volunteers.

The NSS organizes an annual camp of 7 days where students seek their knowledge in various matters like understanding the cultural diversity in India and having a national pride through knowledge of India.

The NSS volunteers hold a strong knowledge of the cultural importance of the country.

Objective

The overall objective of NSS is Personality Development through community service.

Chronicle

The broad objectives of NSS are to:

  • Acquire leadership qualities and a democratic attitude.
  • Develop competence for organized group activities and sharing of responsibilities.
  • Understand the community with which they interact.
  • Identify the community's needs and problems and help provide real-time solutions.
  • Develop a social and civic responsibility among the students.
  • Finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
  • Attain skills in mobilizing community participation.
  • Ability to conquer emergency and natural disasters.
  • Practise national Integrity and social harmony.

Swachhta Pakhwada (1st- 15th September)

Swachhta Pakwada is a fortnight event initiated in the pursuit of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan aimed at developing a clean India. Swachh Bharath Abhiyan is an Initiative by the government of India to provide a clean and litter-free India. The mission also supports building a sanitized environment.

Swachh Bharath Abhiyan was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014, to pursue people in to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s vision on creating a clean India by his 150th birth anniversary by 2019. The initiative was carried out throughout the nation in more than 4000 districts and towns in India. The aim is to reach this campaign initiative across all of India’s rural and urban towns. BIHER NSS program has supported the campaign across various districts and successfully incorporated it in various community services.

Swachhta Pakhwada (1st- 15th August 2017)

Swachhta Pakwada is observed in the pursuit of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan, one of the famous and prominent initiatives by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The initiative incorporates various activities like eradicating open litter, instituting healthy sanitation practices.

NSS students of BIHER have conducted several practices to support the initiative. The NSS as a whole concentrate on serving the community through services that benefit them. Swachhta Pakwada involves a series of events conducted in pursuit of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan. The campaign aims to spread awareness of the government initiative and also encourage people to participate in them for a green and green India.
