About Us

In the pursuit of the Swachh Bharath Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) launched by the government of India, BIHER has incorporated the practice in all our campuses. The aim is to create a clean and comfortable space for a better future. BIHER ensures to convey the right message to the students, by conducting mass cleaning campaigns frequently.

List of adopted villages

Thiruvencherry

Thiruvencherry, a village located in the Kanchipuram district, where our students of BIHER conducted various activities to promote the initiative.

  • 7th November 2016- A Medical camp inaugurated by Dr. Igbal of Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital was held.
  • 3rd April 2017- Tree plantation campaign inaugurated by Ex. CM Janikiraman and organized by our volunteers from BIHER.
  • 7th April 2017- A Clean Indian campaign was organized by the volunteers and inaugurated by Ex. Panchayati president Ponnukrishnan.

Vegampakkam

Our students from BIHER organized and held various volunteering and campaign activities.

  • 20th October 2016- Blood donation volunteering campaign conducted by the students of BIHER and volunteers from Vengambakkam village, inaugurated by Asaliappan Ward-II, Member.
  • 22nd January 2016- Eye check-up campaign organized by our students and coordinated by Lions Club. Inaugurated by Ln. Tamilselvan of Vasan Eye Care, Tambaram.
  • 8th February 2017- Orientation program on health Awareness organized by our students and inaugurated by Dr. Pallivel Rajan, Camp Road.
  • 28th February 2017- Science Day rally inaugurated by Mr. Shanmugan, Head Master Vengambakkam government school and organized by our students.

Mappedu

Various health and cleanliness campaigns were organized in Mappedu, a small village in Kanchipuram.

  • 15th February 2017- A Clean India campaign was organized in Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital by the students of BIHER.
  • Other programs organized by our students include a medical camp and a voting awareness rally.

Selaiyur

Selaiyur is a small village located in the Kanchipuram district where students from BIHER conducted several campaigns initiatives.

  • 30th August 2016- A Blood Donation Awareness Campaign was inaugurated by Dr. Inbasekaran in Government Hospital Stanley, Chennai.
  • 23rd March 2017- Clean India Campaign inaugurated by Mr. Rajendran, Sub Inspector of Police.
  • 7th April 2017- Tree plantation Program inaugurated by Mr. Dhamodharan, Ex. MC, Selaiyur.
  • 13th April 2017- National youth Police rally, inaugurated by Mr. Vasu, Ex. MC Bharath Nagar, Selaiyur.

MGR Nagar and Bharath Nagar

MGR Nagar and Bharath Nagar, a place located in Kanchipuram district, where BIHER students conducted various awareness initiatives and programs.

  • 25th OCTOBER 2016- A Blood Donation Campaign was conducted by Dr. Ramesh and his Team members of Meavakkam Primary Health Care Centre, the government of Tamil Nadu.
  • 9TH November 2016- Medical camp organized by Dr. Igbal and his team through Balaji Medical College and Hospital.
  • 27th and 28th January 2017- Clean India Campaign by Bharath university
  • 10th March 2017- Toilet Construction in pursuit of Clean India Awareness program at a village in MGR Nagar.

Kundrathur

Several activities were conducted in Kundrathur, a small village located in the Kanchipuram district.

  • 9th September 2016- A Dental Camp organized by BIHER and inaugurated by Ex. MC, Dr. Damodharan.
  • 16th January 2017- A Volunteering Program on Clean India, inaugurated by Thiru. K. Sowrirajan, District Revenue Officer.
  • 20th October 2017- Tree Plantation volunteering Program, inaugurated by Kumar, Inspector of Police
  • 26th November 2017- Plastic Awareness rally jointly organized with Lions Club, and inaugurated by Ln. Tamilselvan.

Nattarasampattu

  • 5th January 2016- The team of Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital along with its students organized a Health and Awareness Program as a part of the Flood relief measure at Sri Lakshmi Ammal memorial Metric School. Dr. Kavimani and Dr. Glory Josephine worked as the program officer and coordinators respectively.

Serpanancherry

Temple and Ponds Cleaning in the pursuit of CLEAN INDIA- GREEN INDIA (Swachh Bharath Abhiyan)- organized by Dr. Kavimani, Dr, Mohan Kumar, and Dr. Glory Josephine.

  • 23rd March 2015 to 29th March 2015- A camp held on rural health center by Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital
  • 26th November 2016- The Departments of Nephrology and Urology of Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital have organized an organ donation campaign.
  • A health survey was organized by Dr. Glory Josephine.
  • 12th August 2016- A Traffic Awareness Program was conducted by the Dean and Principal of Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital.
  • 14th March 2016- World Health Day inaugurated by Director Dr. Balakrishnan
  • 15th March 2017- Tree Plantation Initiative

Kalingamalai

A general Health Check-up was organized by Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences at Agaram Village, Kudapakkam post and Taluk, Villiyanur commune of Puducherry.

  • 13th March 2017- Personal Hygiene Awareness conducted by Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences at Kalingapalayam Village, Pakiripalayam Panchayat.
  • 14th March 2017- Awareness on Adolescence Problems was conducted at Government high school at Kalingapalayam Village, Pakiripalayam Panchayat by Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences.
  • 16th March 2017- Women Abuse and Empowerment by Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences at Agaram Village, Kudapakkam post and Taluk, Villiyanur commune of Puducherry.
  • 18th March 2017- Vaccination Awareness Program by Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences at Agaram Village, Kudapakkam post and Taluk, Villiyanur commune of Puducherry.
